My brother (in-law, but really just my brother), Stu Weissman, was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
Being that Stu lives in Florida and I live in Chicago, I wanted to do something to support him and my family even though I can’t be there. Stu will be receiving treatment and undergo surgery during the beginning of football season. An avid Michigan football fan, Stu never misses a game. Let’s show him just how many people he has fighting alongside him, as we build Team Stu.
With the help of HP tops, a local family-owned custom apparel shop in Highland Park, I created a t-shirt to sell. Maize and blue for Michigan, it reads “Game on. Go Blue. Go Stu.” A portion of each sale will be donated to ECAN, the Esophageal Cancer Action Network.
While donating to this cause is important, what’s most significant here is solidarity. We stand together as a “team” and support Stu in his fight. Whether you know Stu, know someone who knows Stu, know someone fighting cancer, or really love Michigan football, be a part of a team and make a difference in someone’s life. Buy a shirt, tell your mom to buy one, your aunt, your cousin, your friend, your friend’s cousin… you get the idea.
Ordering will close Saturday, September 16th. Shirts will be printed and shipped after that date. Order now to have yours for football season!
